This is a self guided study course on Enlightenment and the Enlightenment Technique based upon the teachings of Charles Berner, the originator of the Enlightenment Intensive.
It is for those of you who may be participating in an up-coming Enlightenment Intensive and for those of you who have already taken an Enlightenment Intensive.
The program takes you on a deep dive into understanding the Enlightenment Technique, the Enlightenment Intensive philosophy and it’s metaphysical principles in the words of Charles Berner.
It also serves as an informative and inspiring introduction for those of you who simply have an interest in the non-duality state of consciousness called enlightenment or self realisation.
The Course is made up of video and audio lectures, written essays, meditations, study guides, drills and exercises that will help you to accelerate and refine your knowledge and understanding of enlightenment and the Enlightenment Intensive practice.
The teachings by Charles Berner that I’m presenting in this program scan a period of more than half a century, from the 1950’s through 2007, when Berner passed away. He left a legacy of hundreds of audio and some video recordings as well as print documents from his many decades of teaching.
Berner always said that his own understanding of the mysteries of existence evolves through his meditation experiences and thus if you want to understand his thoughts on enlightenment and the Enlightenment Intensive…. look to his most recent reflections.
And that’s why in this program I’m including his work on the subject of enlightenment that span his many decades of teaching.
The course is organised into Modules that are divided into several Chapters.
The first Module, titled, What is Enlightenment? is made up of a Charles Berner lecture from his 1977 Enlightenment Master Training Course. It also includes the edited text version of that lecture printed in Berner’s 1981 book, The Transmission of Truth, A Manual for Enlightenment Masters. This module, as well as the others include an exercise or an activity that you can do on your own or with a partner to enhance your learning experience.
Succeeding modules include the 1993 discourse titled, On the 25th Anniversary of the Enlightenment Intensive and sections from his 2006 book, Consciousness of Truth, A Manual for the Enlightenment Intensive.
