Hundreds of thousands of people in over 40 countries around the world have taken an Enlightenment Intensive and have experienced profound spiritual experiences, life-changing insights and direct experiences of who they are.
Though some people need more time, many people awaken to the indescribable state of direct knowing, also called enlightenment or True Self in three days or less.
"I experienced the ‘AHA’ awareness in day one of the retreat!! I was amazed and grateful to what I experienced at that time. For me the most important thing is that I was able to be true and honest to myself and share this to others. Thank you Yoah!! Nugdha, Indonesia
I was in a dyad and I directly experienced who I am. The whole thing took me by surprise. I know who I am but I just didn't know that I knew. Lawrence, USA
I said, "...Oh it's me!” I still cannot get over the whole hilarity and the truth in those three words. You see, it was me all along!!! I am right here. There's nothing else to say about it. Nowhere to go. It's me!! It's so frigen awesome! Judy, Australia

Enlightenment takes no time at all. It is outside the realm of time. It is in the realm of what may be called the Absolute. And it takes no time because it's not something that you can achieve because it is what you are. Trying to get it or achieve it is like grasping for yourself in a mirror. You can't get or grasp the reflection. You are what is being reflected. Enlightenment takes no time. So the term Enlightenment in a Weekend is really nonsensical. It's so non sensical that it makes no sense and when you recognise what you haven't recognised it's a big laugh. Sometimes dramatically so and sometimes a silent smiling of recognition. Yoah Wexler
Q: What Accelerates the Enlightenment Process? A: Communication & Understanding
The entire Retreat is spent actively contemplating on the nature of yourself and getting others to understand what is happening for you. The vow of Noble Silence is practiced throughout the retreat except during the communication phase of the Enlightenment Dyad technique. It's exciting to communicate your insights and increased consciousness to the others. Within a day you become very conscious of yourself and the other participants and what they and you are experiencing. You can see, feel and experience the increased openness building between you and your partners. It is this contact, communication and understanding that accelerates the process of enlightenment. This single principle of involvement through understanding is the missing link in the field of enlightenment. And it works for everyone. It's effectiveness has been proven in thousands of Retreats in over 40 countries around the world since 1968. Charles Berner
The EI Retreat is like a Back un-Packing trip. It is hiking through the open country of what it is to be a human being -- through high mountains of thought and contemplation, through stormy waters of emotions, through dry barren deserts of boredom, through brilliant sunrises and colorful sunsets, through the hum of insects and the sudden surprise of a wild turkey. It is slowly unpacking your bags so you can stand in the naked truth of being human with other human beings and notice how you become clothing for each other. Joseph Rubano

The Seventy Two Hour Mirror (from the author’s Preface,1969)
“Instant Enlightenment, Just Add Water,” reads the label on the can. It’s not difficult to imagine an American or East Indian huckster wearing a fur suit with a ash register hidden beneath his robes selling cans of instant relief from the troubles of the world: if you would just turn over your soul and your possessions, put our intelligence aside, and surrender to the unknown which he will then explain to you.
Similar images came to my mind as I, filled with skepticism and doubt, began my first Enlightenment Intensive just over ten years ago. Nobody wants to be fooled but I was searching for something that I felt was important and hadn’t found it after many acid trips, teachers, a year at Esalen and every book available.
There are now, as never before, many valid methods available to large numbers of people who seek ways to know themselves bette, relate to others more intimately, and live life more fullfililngly. The Enlightenment Intensive is an example of just such a method.
